So my animal alphabet illustration is almost done. And I think it is time to start to think of my next art collection. For this collection it may be a little bit bigger than my animal alphabet and flavored milk collection and even more challenging.
For this collection I will be making use of an isometric grid to make buildings. To make each of the buildings feel similar will be placing a tree in the back of each of the buildings and have all the buildings have the same kind of sidewalk to make it feel like they are all from the same neighborhood.
My plan for this collection is to make a whole neighborhood. Each day I want to try to make new building for the neighborhood. Perhaps I will not only make buildings but small stuff that you can find in the neighborhood like park benches, lap post, mail box ,and more.
Not sure how long this project will tack but when I just am thinking of enjoying making cute and fun isometric buildings. The first building for this collection is a flower shop. In the video you will notice that I have already drawn and colored the illustration. It is at this time that I decided to redo all the line work. I made the line work thinner. There was also some color change to fit the cute factor that I am trying to go for. The illustration of a cake shop was the inspiration on the design of the building by Derek Laufman. The reason for making the building isometric was just me reminiscing video games that I used to play as a kid.
Perhaps I might make a coloring book from this illustrations or something different all together. But as of now no plans yet for this isometric buildings.
On with the time laps.
